By the time we’d made it back to the hotel, it was getting dark. “Wanna swim?” I asked as we passed by the pool on the way to the back entrance of the hotel. “I’m not really tired yet, which is weird since it’s late back home now. I mean, we don’t have to,” I yammered on as Caleb led us to the elevators. “Well?” I pressed as the doors enclosed us.
“Well, what?” He looked at me as if he’d missed the entire conversation.
“Swimming.” I rolled my eyes. “Were you listening?” I tapped my foot.
“No.” He shook his head and it appeared as if he was staring at the wall over my shoulder.
“No?” My head snapped back. “What do you mean no?”
“Was thinking about food,” he mumbled as he continued to stare.
“Food?” My head tipped to the side. “We just ate a few hours ago.”
“Mmm hmm.” He moved closer. “Thinking about eating what I want.” His voice grew gruff as he backed me against the wall of the elevator. His head dipped, and he pressed his lips to my neck. My knees started to give out as he trailed his tongue from my collarbone up to my ear. “You taste really good, Riley,” he whispered. He pressed another kiss to my neck, and ran his tongue around the shell of my ear. “I’d love to have more some time.” He pecked my cheek, and then stepped back as if he didn’t turn me into a complete puddle. “Let’s go.” He motioned to me as he stepped off the elevator. I hadn’t even realized we stopped moving or that the doors had opened.
“Go?” I squeaked out as my center throbbed. He knew exactly what he’d just done. The smile on his face said he was enjoying it too.
“Swimming. It’s a little hot in here. Might feel good to cool off.” He shrugged as he held the doors open.
“This isn’t over,” I hissed under my breath as I stepped passed him.
“I’m counting on it.” He chuckled.
ooooooooo
We changed in record time. I don’t know if it was sexual frustration or what, but I was on a mission. “Done.” I stepped out of the bathroom to find Caleb sitting on the end of the bed in his trunks.
“Let’s go.” He stood, and grabbed a towel before going to hold the door open.
When we got down to the pool, it was deserted, which was nice. “I can’t believe no one’s down here.” I tossed my towel on a chair and dipped my foot in.
“It’s the weekend. They’re probably out doing stuff.” Caleb rounded the edge until he was standing by the deep end. In one quick movement, he launched himself into the water. I watched as the water rippled while his body cut through it. He didn’t surface until he was halfway to the other end. “You getting in? It feels nice.” He smiled as he tossed his body into a back float.
I wasn’t as fancy. I went to the concrete steps, and slowly lowered myself in. The water did feel nice. It was a cool contrast to the hot air. I quickly submerged myself before he could do anything, and then floated as I looked at the stars. It was a beautiful night, and I wondered if Caleb thought the same thing.
“Not afraid of pool water, huh?” His voice brought me out of my daydream and caused me to drop below the surface. I came up sputtering.
“No. I told you that. I can see the bottom. It’s the not seeing that I’m afraid of, not water.” I rolled my eyes.
“Oh, ok.” He grinned before diving under the surface. Within seconds, I felt his fingers wrap around my ankle and pull me under. I kicked my legs to get free, and hit him somewhere at some point. “You’re just as dangerous in the water as on land.” He surfaced, rubbing his shoulder. Guess that’s where I hit him.
“No,” I grinned as I shrugged, “you just suck.”
He moved closer, “You like that I suck.” He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me flush with his chest. “You like it a lot.” His voice became a strangled whisper as he skimmed his nose up my cheek. “Riley.” He kissed my neck.
“Yeah.” I swallowed. I was getting turned on again, and my head was at war with my body.
“I’d really like to go somewhere private with you.” His teeth gently tugged my lobe. “Are you ok with that?” I could feel his erection pressing against me.
“I’m not ready for sex, Caleb.” I swallowed.
“There’s a lot we can do that isn’t sex.” He pulled back and stared straight into my eyes. “Do you trust me?” I nodded. I did trust him. He wasn’t the problem here, I was. I was the one I didn’t trust. “Come with me.” He started heading for the steps, and led me out of the pool. As we grabbed our towels and started heading back upstairs, I wondered what he had in mind and if I was going to regret saying no to sex.
Chapter 18
Riley
My heart thundered along with our feet as we rushed down the hallway. I giggled with nervous energy. I had no idea what he had in mind, but I knew Caleb wouldn’t make me do anything I wasn’t ready for.
He opened to door to our room, and the cool air of the air conditioner wrapped around me, chilling my damp body. I shivered, and Caleb rubbed his hands down my arms. “I’ll warm you up.” He winked.
“Caleb.” It came out in a ragged whisper.
“Just trust me.” He squeezed my hand, and then held up a finger to wait. I wrapped my arms around my middle as I shivered again. Caleb turned, and went into the bathroom. I heard the tub start to fill as steam rose.
“What are you doing?” I leaned through the doorway.
“Warming you up.” He smiled as he poured something into the water. After a few minutes, he reappeared and reached for my hand. “If anything makes you uncomfortable, just tell me.” He bent his knees so he was looking directly into my eyes.
I nodded, and then let him pull me into the bathroom. The soaker tub in the corner was filling with warm water. He’d put bath salts in, and a bath bomb was floating on the surface, filling the water with blue foam.
“It smells really nice.” I sighed as Caleb’s body pressed up against the back of mine.
He stepped away for a moment, and turned the lights out. Light from our bedroom produced enough of a glow that we weren’t in total darkness. “Close your eyes,” he whispered as his hands skimmed up my sides. When he reached my shoulders, he lowered the straps of my top. “Don’t think about anything but the moment.” His voice was gruff. I felt him release the tie on my back, and when my top fell limply to the floor, his hands came back to cup my breasts.
“Caleb.” I sighed as my head dropped back against his shoulder.
“Don’t think.” He said it a little louder this time. He moved us forward. My toes bumped the edge of the tub as his hands skimmed down to my hips. He hooked his thumbs into the bottoms of my suit, and then lowered them. When he reached my feet, he lifted them one at a time. As I stood there completely naked in front of him, I thought I’d be embarrassed, but I wasn’t. The fact that he’d turned the lights off helped, but I realized I wasn’t scared or embarrassed because I trusted him and I cared about him. I didn’t feel like this with Dean, and that’s probably why I resisted so much.
“Step in.” He urged me forward, and I slowly stepped into the tub. As the warm water surrounded my feet and ankles, I had the urge to sink my whole-body in.
I heard rustling behind me, and saw Caleb’s trunks get tossed to the side. I tried to turn around, but he was too fast. He stepped in behind me, and lowered us both into the water.
“Feel good?” He pulled me between his legs and had me lean back against his chest.
“Feels great,” I mumbled as I relaxed further.
“Don’t go to sleep on me.” He chuckled. He grabbed a washcloth and proceeded to wash me. “Riley.” His voice strained even more, if that was possible. I could feel his cock rock hard against my back. “Trust me.” He’d been uttering those words a lot tonight.
“I do.” My eyes fluttered open just as his hand started making its way down my lower belly. I felt his fingers as his lips met my neck. He parted me achingly slow. One finger fluttered over my clit as the others held me open. Hi
s tongue ran up the column of my neck before circling at my ear and then heading toward my mouth.
“You are so fucking beautiful,” he growled as his tongue plunged into my mouth. I was wide awake now, and as his tongue stroked mine, his fingers stroked my center. I’d never had an orgasm by a man before; Dean had never taken the time to give me one. I’d pleasured myself a time or two, but nothing compares to the feeling of Caleb bringing you to the brink.
My insides started to tighten as the tingle began. It climbed up my legs making its way to my center, and then in an explosion, my head went back. As every part of me tightened, a blissful wave crashed all around me.
“Beautiful.” Caleb sighed as he slowed his movements, bringing the last of my orgasm out with delicate flicks. “Simply beautiful.” He pressed a kiss to my cheek before removing his hand.
As I came back to earth, I noticed Caleb was getting out of the tub. His erection was standing tall, but he ignored it. He grabbed a towel and reached for me. As I stood, he wrapped it around me. “Let’s get you to bed.” He smiled as we started moving to the bedroom.
“But what about you?” I glanced down at all his naked glory.
“I’m fine.” He brushed me off as if he wasn’t in obvious discomfort.
He walked me into the bedroom, pulled back the covers, and helped me into bed. As he tucked the blankets around me, he leaned down and whispered, “Sleep. Tomorrow is a big day.” He kissed my forehead, and my eyes fluttered closed. It only took moments before I was fast asleep.
ooooooooo
Caleb
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t dying right now. The idea of not having sex with her was killing me, but I promised I’d wait. My dick was throbbing as I made my way back into the bathroom. The tub was still full of warm water, and I tossed my towel to the side and stepped back in. As I kneeled in the soapy water, I squeezed a little bath gel on my hand. When my fingers wrapped around my cock, I closed my eyes. I pretended it was Riley. I was buried balls deep in her warm wet pussy, and I was going to enjoy every minute of it. My hand stroked back and forth a few times, the gel making for a good substitute. I braced my other hand on the side of the tub, and pumped faster. The faster I went, the harder my grip was. It only took a minute or so, and then I came all over my hand.
I stayed there in the tub for a moment just catching my breath before pulling the drain, and rinsing off. I hoped that she’d be ready soon because there’s no way the fantasies are as good as the real thing.
I climbed out the tub, wrapped a towel around my hips, and made my way into the bedroom. When I rounded the corner, Riley’s soft breathing was all that could be heard. Her brown hair was splayed out over her pillow, and her hands were neatly tucked under her cheek. I slowly climbed in, and it was like I was a magnet for her. She slid over, and rolled to wrap an arm around my waist. A small smile spread across her lips, as she snuggled into my side, and my eyes drifted closed.
ooooooooo
Riley
“Morning.” His voice was gruff as he pressed a kiss to my temple. I stretched and yawned, as I blinked against the light in the room.
“Good morning.” I attempted to look around without moving. I could feel Caleb’s warm body against my back, and I wondered what he was thinking.
“Relax.” He rolled to his back, and tossed one arm over his head. “Did you sleep good?” A grin spread across his lips as his head lolled to the side. Dare I say he was smirking at me.
“Pretty good, I guess.” I shrugged as I tried to hold back my laugh.
“Pretty good? I guess I better up my game then.” He shook his head and faked a pout.
I rolled to my side and faced him. “That wasn’t your A game.” I crinkled my nose. “I thought for sure I’d get the A game.”
“Nope.” He shook his head. “Thought maybe we could go down to the hotel gym and you could earn the A game.”
“I don’t need the gym for that.” I didn’t give him a chance to react. I quickly rolled the rest of the way over, swung a leg across his hips, and pinned him.
“Guess not.” He chuckled. I twisted my mouth as I tipped my head.
“I was always better than you at floor work.” I started to move, but his hands went to my hips and held me there.
“I kinda like this view.” He reached up and pulled me toward him, connecting our lips as soon as he was able to. I started to get lost in the kiss until I remembered I was naked and so was he.
I pulled back, and scrambled off his lap. “I’m sorry. I don’t want to give you the wrong idea.” I turned away, hoping I hadn’t made him mad.
“Wrong idea?” Caleb sat up, letting the sheets pool around his hips. “What’s wrong?”
“It’s just that I told you no, and now I’m doing this, and I know that you want to.” I stumbled over my words. “I don’t want you to think that I’m teasing you.” I started to cry, and that made me angry.
“Princess, calm down.” His palm glided down my arm, attempting to sooth me. “You said you’re not ready. I know what that means, and until you tell me that you are… I’m not going to push you.”
I turned slightly, looking at him over my shoulder. The sheets were tented on his lap, and I couldn’t help but stare.
“That’ll go away.” He didn’t even look down. “Stop worrying that you’re going to make me mad or something. Do you know how many times you’ve told me to fuck off over the years? I’m still here, right? I’m not with you for sex, I’m with you for you. Sex is a bonus, and we’ll be amazing when we go there, but for now I’m ok with this. I’ll always be ok with this.” He leaned forward and kissed my forehead.
“I’m sorry. I’m just a mess right now. I’m gonna meet my dad today.” Saying the words out loud brought a whole new feeling up. “What if he doesn’t like me? What if he wants me to move here? You think my mom would let me move to California? What does that mean about us?”
“Calm down. We have to meet the guy first. You’re worrying about issues that might not even be issues tonight.”
“Right.” I gave a quick nod.
“Let’s get dressed and go get breakfast, then we’ll find your dad.” Caleb swung his legs over the bed and stood. I couldn’t help but stare at his naked ass. It momentarily distracted me.
Today I was going to meet Alexander Bishop, my father. Today was going to change my life, I just wasn’t sure how yet.
Chapter 19
Riley
Breakfast was spent with me tapping anything I could touch, and Caleb telling me to calm down over and over. There was so much about today that put me on edge. What if this went bad? What if it didn’t and I just added so much more to my life that I had to choose between?
After finishing, Caleb went to get the truck. I paced in front of the hotel and mumbled to myself how this was not a bad idea. I’ve been known over the years to make decisions without thinking them through. It’s driven my mom crazy, but my dad, Wes says I’m just like her. Is it bad that I’ve started referring to him as Wes and not Dad? I don’t know how to not confuse the two though.
“Ready?” Caleb lowered the passenger window when he pulled up to where I was pacing.
“As ready as I’ll ever be.” I sighed. I climbed in, and stared out the windshield. “Can I ask you something?” I glanced in his direction before I started picking at my nails.
“Sure. Are you ok?” He reached over and placed his hand over mine and squeezed it.
“Not really. Do you think I should call him Dad, or Alex?” I darted my eyes toward him before going back to the road in front of us.
“I think you should call him Mr. Bishop until he tells you different. Keep in mind, he might not know about you. I think if you call him Dad, he might freak out a little.” Caleb sounded really tentative. It was like he was afraid I was going to break.
“Good point.” I nodded. “Mr. Bishop.” I nodded again as I pulled my hand from Caleb’s. It wasn’t that I was mad or anything, I was just trying to put myself
in the right state of mind to do this.
ooooooooo
Caleb
I wasn’t sure what to make out of this whole day. There was so much that I was hiding from her. My mom has been texting me all morning, and Riley’s parents are currently blowing up my phone. I had to put it on silent because of them. Angela told me this morning that this Alex guy doesn’t know anything about Riley. I can’t tell her that though because I’m not supposed to be talking to her parents. I’m in such a hard place, and I don’t know how to escape it. No matter what I do, she’s gonna be pissed at me, and we have a four-day drive home.
“I think it’s right up here.” Riley pointed out the window at one of the many glass high rises along the street. We were heading toward the downtown area, and everything looked the same.
“How can you tell? It looks the same on every street.” I strained to look out her window.
“Well,” she giggled “this little thing called a GPS on your phone here,” she pointed to where my phone was sitting on the dash, “says ‘you have arrived’.”
I glared at her in mock anger. “You can be such a smartass.”
“But you like it.” She grinned.
“Maybe.” I shrugged and then shoved my phone in my pocket. I’d been lucky that no one had called since I’d asked it for directions. “Let me find a place to park.” I pulled into a public lot down the block. The ocean waves were crashing in the distance and it currently matched the turmoil in my head. Trees waved in the summer breeze, and in that moment, I just wanted to sit and enjoy my surroundings. I opened my door, and started to climb out.
“What are you doing?” Riley squeaked.
“Getting out?” It came out as more of a question. “You don’t think I’m letting you go up there by yourself, do you?” I waited for her to answer, but she just stared at me. I walked around to her side, and helped her out. “We don’t know what we’re walking into. I’m not letting you face this alone.” The truth was, I kinda did know what we were walking into. This Alex guy didn’t know anything about Riley. He didn’t even know he was a dad. If he’s a decent guy, he’ll be understanding, but I’m not banking on that. I don’t know much about Angela and her time living here. I only know what I’ve heard from my mom, and that wasn’t much. Every once in a while, I’d overhear her talking to Angela about what a jerk this Alex guy was. I also know that it was only her side of things. I know when a woman is hurt, things don’t always come out the way they happened. I’m trying to give the guy the benefit of the doubt, but also be prepared for the worst.
